This guarantee covers:

* Premature timber rot or decay caused by a manufacturing defect, where the building has been correctly installed, treated and maintained.
* Structural defects that materially affect the intended use and stability of the building.
2. Conditions of the guarantee

* Ensure that the building is installed on a suitable, firm, level and structurally sound base that fully supports the building.
* Ensure that the base allows adequate drainage and prevents prolonged contact between the timber and standing water.
* Treat and maintain the external timber using a suitable high-quality wood preservative or exterior timber treatment in accordance with the product manufacturer’s instructions.
* Inspect the building regularly and carry out reasonable maintenance, including repairing damaged treatment, seals, roofing materials or timber where required.
* Keep the building adequately ventilated and prevent excessive moisture build-up.
* Use the building only for its intended purpose.
* Notify Telesheds of any suspected defect as soon as reasonably possible after it is discovered.
* Provide photographs and any other information reasonably requested by Telesheds to assess a claim.
3. What is not covered

* Normal timber movement, including natural expansion, contraction, shrinkage, swelling, splitting, warping, twisting or cracking.
* Natural characteristics of timber, including knots, variations in colour, grain and texture.
* Cosmetic changes, fading, weathering or surface deterioration that do not affect the structural integrity of the building.
* Damage caused by inadequate, uneven, unstable or unsuitable foundations or bases.
* Damage caused by poor drainage, standing water, ground contact or excessive moisture.
* Damage resulting from failure to treat, maintain or repair the building when required.
* Condensation, mould, mildew or damp caused by inadequate ventilation, storage conditions or customer use.
* Damage caused by storms, high winds, flooding, snow loading, fire, impact, accidents, vandalism, pests or other events outside Telesheds’ reasonable control.
* Damage caused by misuse, neglect, overloading, unauthorised alterations, modifications, repairs or additions.
* Damage caused by moving, dismantling or relocating the building after delivery or installation.
* Roofing felt, shingles, EPDM, seals, glazing, doors, windows, hinges, locks, handles, fixings and other non-structural or consumable components, except where covered by a separate warranty.

4. Non-structural components
Doors, windows, hinges, locks, handles, glazing, roofing materials, felt, fixings and other non-structural components are covered against manufacturing defects for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery or installation.
